Of course! It has to. Apple can't afford to sit another year out. 4g phones are huge now and if it doesn't, people will just buy an android phone.

I darnt think about another new device this year,android phone in march,mbp and ipad2 since June 1st,BUT next year I may look at iPhone5.

Yes but 4g chips are really expensive right now. That's why 4g android phones don't have retina displays. They might leave it out of the rumored cheaper model and put it in the normal/more expensive model.

I have a hard time accepting that 4G will be included. Tim Cook made it fairly clear that Apple doesn't feel there is a 4G chip up to their standards and therefore they won't include 4G in the next iPhone. Also, if you flashback to the original iPhone - 3G was widely implemented by that time, yet Apple left it out because they didn't like the chips that were available and their power consumption. At the same time, I think there is that rare longshot that it may be Steve's "One more thing" that wow's everyone.

In my opinion if they add 4G, we get no retina display or 8MP camera. 4G is not cheap.

Yes, I do know that. I have one. But, what the romors are saying is that they will only give the no contract iPhone a few MB's of memory and just have it connected through iCloud. When you buy the iPhone, alot of what your paying for is memory.

I just can't wait for the iPhone 5, but I think there will be limited supplies. Hopefully I can get one for christmas
