Would you consider the MacBook Air a real computer? It doesn't have a CD drive or anything in the direction of connectivity with one USB port and a thunderbolt port.

I don't think it is. Just seems like an iPad with a keyboard.

You really use the cd drive? Also, it has 2 usb ports not 1 which is the same as the macbook pro.

well its meant for people who travel or like slimness. plus with the mac app store you can get everything virtually so no need for the drive. people like you though can buy an external drive if they need it. btw you do know that the mba is closing in on being 50% of all macs, right?

I would consider the MacBook Air to be the dividing line between a tablet, and a laptop.
